Static Meshes are used mostly in level design

  • Typically terrain is just the ground itself
  • What really defines the level is the static meshes
    • Trees
    • Rocks
    • Actual Buildings
  • If leveraging a static mesh multiple times, do different things to make it look different
    • Scale
    • Rotate
    • Elevation changes

Having fun taking the past couple of days to now show the below. You can see the difference from where I was white boxing, painting the terrain, to now set dressing.
